The Dri-Lex Eco Collection
A reality of the marketplace is that consumers now expect – and even demand – that footwear manufacturers build products and create processes that are progressively eco-friendly. Recognizing our responsibility to our customers and to the planet, we continue to evolve our Dri-Lex Eco Collection, keeping costs for fabrics with recycled and renewable fibers within an average of 15% of those fabrics made from virgin nylons and polyesters.
We also recognize that there is some skepticism in both the footwear community and in the larger consumer community about the origin of materials and their ‘cradle to grave’ story. More than five years ago, we made the decision to make environmentally friendly fabrics in as transparent a manner as possible. Since then, we have been fortunate to partner with the industry leader in recycled polyester, Unifi, Inc., and DuPont, which has created an entirely new polymer spun from fermented plant sugars called ‘Sorona.’
Repreve recycled polyester from Unifi and Sorona renewable Triexta (the new polymer) from DuPont offer incredible product advantages as well as transparency along the green chain. The fibers from both companies are unique performance fibers first and foremost, eco-friendly, and offer competitive pricing which we believe will actually decrease as demand increases.

To see our wide range of constructions using these fibers, send us an e-mail with anticipated use and we’ll respond with a conversation and appropriate swatches.
